The Quarry[]

'A Fool's Errand' first appears during Chapter 1 when Jacob decides to sabotage the minivan. He can either uncouple the fuel line or disconnect and steal and rotor arm. Either option will unlock the path.

Path Synopsis[]

'A Fool's Errand' chronicles Jacob Custos' attempt to spend one more night with his summer fling, Emma Mountebank, by sabotaging the minivan and the ensuing the events that can occur. Either way, the path ends either with Jacob losing the rotor arm in the lake, or the vehicle's engine catching fire due to Jacob uncoupling the fuel line, rendering the minivan out of commission.

Path 1[]

Description Requirements
Jacob removed the rotor arm from the minivan.
  • Chapter 1 (Jacob) - Choose to remove Rotor Arm.
The minivan failed to start, so the counselor's couldn't leave Hackett's Quarry.
The rotor arm fell out of Jacob's pocket when he was swimming in the lake.
Jacob chose to dive into the lake in search of the rotor arm.
The rotor arm is lost forever.
Jacob got his hand caught when grabbing the rotor arm.
Jacob narrowly escaped drowning.

Path 2[]

Description Requirements
Jacob removed the rotor arm from the minivan.
  • Chapter 1 (Jacob) - Choose to remove Rotor Arm.
The minivan failed to start, so the counselor's couldn't leave Hackett's Quarry.
The rotor arm fell out of Jacob's pocket when he was swimming in the lake.
Jacob chose to dive into the lake in search of the rotor arm.
The rotor arm is lost forever.
Jacob got his hand caught when grabbing the rotor arm.
Jacob drowned.
  • Chapter 3 (Jacob) - Choose Pull twice or do nothing.

Path 3[]

Description Requirements
Jacob removed the rotor arm from the minivan.
  • Chapter 1 (Jacob) - Choose to remove Rotor Arm.
The minivan failed to start, so the counselor's couldn't leave Hackett's Quarry.
The rotor arm fell out of Jacob's pocket when he was swimming in the lake.
Jacob chose not to dive into the lake in search of the lost rotor arm.
The rotor arm is lost forever.

Path 4[]

Description Requirements
Jacob uncoupled the fuel line when sabotaging the minivan.
  • Chapter 1 (Jacob) - Choose to Break Fuel Line.
Jacob's tampering caused the minivan to catch alight.
