The Bloated Corpse is a piece of evidence in The Quarry. It can be found by Jacob in Lake Septimus during Chapter 3.

To be able to find the corpse, Jacob must choose to remove the rotor arm from the minivan in Chapter 1, resulting in him losing the rotor arm in the lake when he swims with Emma. The player must then choose to dive for the rotor arm instead of searching for Abigail. When the rotor arm sinks even further, Jacob must continue searching for the rotor arm instead of surfacing. There, Jacob will find the corpse while his arm is tangled in the chains.
Bizarre Yet Bonafide[]
If the Bloated Corpse was found, Grace and Anton discuss it in their episode of the Bizarre Yet Bonafide podcast during the Epilogue.
If all pieces of evidence were found, the Bloated Corpse will be the first piece discussed, preceding the Memory Card. Anton responds in disgust over being shown the corpse while Grace claims the body belongs to one of the missing hikers, Ed Benson. Grace further believes that Ed drowned and the death was covered up by the Hackett family and the North Kill Gazette. Anton is reluctant to believe it.
